Upgrading your Instagram

Just like your room, your Instagram feed should be clean, put together, and hold everything you need. There’s no theme “formula”, as each account has a different vision/image for their brand, your feed should match that!

  • First order of business is consistency. Colours, fonts, and placement should remain consistent throughout your page to create a flow. While scattered posts can be fun, they often don’t sell. Consumers LOVE to see when brands are organized both off and online.

  • Next, being clear, concise, and consistent. The three C’s are a great rulebook to follow in mastering social media. This includes posts, stories, and your profile. Whether the page is for yourself or your business, you must stick to a list of topics which co align with your brand. For example, if your page revolves around food and cooking, keep all of your content within that niche (supplies, recipes, storage etc). Consistency within your niche also opens opportunities to work and collaborate with other businesses trying to promote their products! Overall, remaining consistent shows consumers that yourself and your content is both valuable and reliable.

  • Now that everything is looking great, we can evaluate post performance. This includes saves, shares, profile clicks and overall audience reach. You can then collect and organize this data to conduct new ideas which should perform highly as well (giving the people what they want!)

  • The final step is to learn your algorithm and post accordingly. Finding the days and times which posts earn the highest reach is a great tool in growing on social media.
